The thrill of victory, the agony of defeat

For the first time in my 26 years of life, I woke up on Christmas away from my family. After Christmas service at Homewood, I packed my car and drove home. I think my favorite gift that I received was the Beer Clock (which did not work), the picture of my niece, and my football page a day calendar. Neither, gifts, nor the Cowboys game (they lost) were the highlight for Christmas. My highlight this year for Christmas was shooting the breeze with my cousin Sedrick. I love Sedrick, however he’s older than me, married with Children and lives in another state, so we don’t always get to see each other often. I was able to laugh and relax and just kick it with Sedrick, that was a lot of fun. Days later, I met up with a friend of mine Greg from the sem. I got to see his daughter Naomi (she’s adorable) and his wife, who I have known since High School. Afterwards we (Greg and I ) piled in the car and went to see Vicar Parvey in Green Bay. I t was good to see him, and catch up with him. We went to see Lambeau (holy ground) and enjoyed fatty foods, great beer, and plenty of laughs. Food, folks, and fun…is anything better? So getting to see old family, friends, and pieces of history was a bonus for me. Jamie (Greg’s wife) taught me more about blogging, and I managed to get on her blog.
The agony of defeat came this past Saturday as I watched the Cowboys game. This year they limped into the playoffs, at 9-7 and had a great game with the Seattle Seahawks…until the end. To make a long story short, they (the Cowboys) are lined up for a chip shot, perfect snap, Romo goes to lay the ball down and it’s botched. Cowboys lose. It was a heartbreaker, that the Cowboys should not have lost. I’m not gonna lie to you… I cried. It’s tough. And the idiot Bear fans, first of all don’t get too cocky, second of all…if I were you, I would be quite worried about Turnoversauras Rex. I’m now officially rooting against the Bears. Not cause I hate the Bears, but I CANT STAND STUPID CHICAGO BEAR FANS, I am sick of listening to them.

The shout for this post goes out to my cousin Sedrick, Vicar Parvey, and Greg, Jamie, and Naomi. I love all of y’all and I’m glad I got to see you. Jamie thanks for the blog help.

Go Cowboys…there always next year.

Keffie, you're starting to sound like a Cubs fan..."there's always next year." That had to be a tough one to take. You have to be encouraged about the future, with a young quarterback, and other talent around him. Anyway...it was great to see you, and I look forward to the next time!! +Peace+
